About Chef Pedro Alarcon
Born and raised in the vibrant city of Caracas, Venezuela, Chef Pedro Alarcon’s love for cooking was ignited at a young age, immersed in the rich, bold flavors of Latin cuisine. His culinary journey took a new direction when he immigrated to the United States, bringing his passion for food with him. Settling in Boston, Pedro worked as a chef at Boston University, where he perfected his craft and gained recognition for his unique ability to blend traditional Latin flavors with innovative cooking techniques.
But Pedro’s dream went beyond working in a kitchen; he wanted to introduce his Venezuelan roots to a broader audience. That dream materialized in La Casa de Pedro, a small restaurant where he proudly introduced Spanish-inspired flavors to an area with few diverse dining options. His authentic dishes quickly gained popularity, and the restaurant became a beloved local spot. As his reputation grew, Pedro expanded into the Boston area, leaving a flavorful mark on the city’s culinary landscape.
After a successful run, Pedro decided to step away from the restaurant scene. Yet, the passion to share authentic Latin flavors remained strong. Craving to bring something fresh and innovative, Pedro birthed a new idea: Pedro's Street, a vibrant food truck that brings his signature flavors to the streets. With Pedro's Street, he’s back to his roots, serving up dishes that celebrate the bold, authentic taste of Latin America in a fast, accessible, and exciting way.
